Knife Collection

Description

YAY POINTY OBJECTS!!

Hehe I thought I'd do something different this time, and share my knife collection for those who are intereted. Now for those of you who've known me for years, you all know that I really enjoy weapons (in the safest way possible that is). Now the funny thing is, I don't really consider myself a knife collector or go out of my way to acquire a new knife, but I think they're neat and cool to own (some of them I display and others I just keep as everyday tools respectively). Let's have a look! :D

From right to left, starting from the smallest:
- Mini balisong (otherwise known as a "butterfly knife," this was a parting gift from one of my closest friends from my high school rowing team before I went off to college)
- Spring-assisted pocket knife (another gift from the same friend that give me the balisong, the locking mechanism is a little clumsy but it's still pretty neat and useful as a letter opener)
- Folding knife (a cheap folding knife I bought at a small fair in South Dakota, for those of you who've played The Last of Us, I really like this one because it resembles the knife Ellie carries on her person :D)
- Hunting knife (a cheap hunting knife I bought at a novelty weapon shop in South Dakota, I'm not sure what the exact material its synthetic grip is made of, but it has a very strong smell)
-Heavy survival knife (a cool survival knife I found when I was in Colorado, it features a serrated back edge, and the holes are mainly for aesthetic appeal)
-"Life Saving" survival knife (another large knife I found when I was in Colorado, this one features a "Rambo-style" hollowed grip that houses a kit which contains a compass, matches, threat and needle, etc.)
- Ghurka kukri (my all-time favorite, this authentic handmade kukri knife was presented to me on my 20th birthday from a friend from Nepal, this knife came straight from Kathmandu and is exactly like the kind used by the famous Ghurka warriors)

Like I said, I don't really consider myself I knife collector, but I would really love to get an authentic M9 bayonet and a Filipino karambit some day!

Fun fact, my cheap hunting knife and "Life Saving" knife were both used in this old ID picture I took many years ago: In the Wilderness

I hope you guys enjoyed and learned something new about me! :) I'll get some new drawings posted as soon as I can.

Cool, I have a kukri as well, bought from an ebay shop supplied directly from makers in Nepal. :)
